Champagne Style Spa - Raised spa with sloped beam so water can run down sides when spa is not running
A channel runs around the spa to capture the water running over the sides. Standard channel width - 6”. Standard channel depth is 3” water depth
By default we slope beam down towards the spa side. Technically you can slope in either direction.
The pool side of the beam is 1” higher than the spa side of the beam
Pool side of sloped beam is 1’-6” above the spa bench. Spa side of sloped beam is 1’-5” above the spa bench
Zero Edge Spa
Zero Edge Spa - Spa at pool level with sloped beam so water can pass between spa and pool when spa is not running
By default we slope beam down towards the spa side. Technically you can slope in either direction.
The pool side of the beam is 1” higher than the spa side of the beam
Pool side of sloped beam is 1” above pool water level. Spa side of sloped beam is at pool water level. So the pool side of the beam will have 4” of waterline tile. The spa side will 3” of waterline tile
It’s a good idea to discuss spa steps with client since getting in and out of a spa that is at ground level is harder than a raised spa
