Add lines coming straight from corner of house. Pull measurement from line to the side and front of pool. Add note: "Pull String In-Line with Corner of Residence".

Create control measurements for important alignments

Add outer pool beam dimensions

Geometric pools: Use one reference point (typically off the house), Length and width dimensions

Freeform pools: Use (2) reference points to triangulate all radii, check dimensions

Measure to outside of the pool beam

Default deck drain location 1/2 way between pool and closest point of house

1/8" per 12" fall to the deck drain

1/2" pool tile overlap

Coping should be flush with the top of the finished lanai height

Factor 1/2" substrate

Beam Height = Lanai finished height - Coping thickness - 1/2" pool tile overlap
