We can cut into pool beam for a new sun shelf. It is shallow and does not cause too much structural damage

We can NOT cut into pool beam for a new spa. It is too deep and causes structural damage. Instead you have to build a double spa beam so the spa can sit beside the pool without cutting into the pool beam. See photo examples below.

We should ask client about replacing existing pool light or adding new pool lights
