Tanning Ledge / Sun Shelf

Key Coordination Questions:

How many loungers will the client use?

Are they using deck chairs or standard ledge loungers?

Umbrella Placement:

Place sleeve aligned with the seat of the lounger to allow use of side tables.

Do not place umbrella sleeves behind head or down by feet.

Indicate on the working drawings where the bubbler plumbing should go if the umbrella sleeves might block the plumbing path.

Steps:

Favor full-width or continuous steps over corner steps.

Avoid layouts where users must step over loungers to enter.

Dimensions:

5' absolute minimum tanning ledge width for lounger footprint.

6' width is standard. 7’ to 8’ is best if you have the space.

The default water depth for the tanning ledge should be either

Minimum 10" water depth to fit the Globrite LED Light

2” - 12” water depth to fit LED Bubblers - will not fit Globrite LED Light

Default tanning ledge is 10" water depth with a 6" tall, 15" wide step. Step needs to be 3” to 4" water depth.

Tanning Ledge walk in step is a standard pool feature and not an extra charge
